PREVIOUS EDITIONS
The Black Sea Symposium for Young Scientists in Biomedicine (BSYSB) is an international conference organized entirely by medical students, uniting hundreds of participants from around the world each year.
Held annually in Varna, Bulgaria, BSYSB provides a dynamic platform for medical, dental, and pharmacy students to share research, exchange ideas, and build lasting collaborations.
Through lectures, workshops, and networking opportunities, the symposium fosters scientific growth and strengthens connections across the global biomedical community.
The BSYSB 2024 featured distinguished names in science, as well as important pillars in the development of future doctors, including:
- Prof. Dr. Paolo Sbraccia who presented a lecture on the topic of: “Toward New Horizons in Obesity Treatment: Innovations in Pharmacotherapy“
- Prof. Dr. Teodora Svetoslavova Handzhieva-Darlenska who presented a lecture on the topic of: “Obesity: a disease of the brain”
- Prof. Dr. Emil Kovachev who presented a lecture on the topic of: “Importance of office hysteroscopy in the diagnosis and treatment in gynecologic practice and infertility”
- Prof. Dr. Nesrin Ozoren who presented a lecture on the topic of: “Novel Patented Vaccine Technology based on ASC Microparticles”
- Assoc. Prof. Tsvetoslav Antonov Georgiev who presented a lecture on the topic of: “Osteoarthritis management: focus on anti-aging implications”
